By : Xylene Belita
Are diabetic supplements better than drug medications? There is nothing wrong to try homeopathic treatment. This is because the ingredients are 100% pure natural and organic. We are all very much aware that before the modern medicine came to being, herbal medicine had been used and had been useful to men. Mother earth has abundantly given us natural resources that we can use to treat many health problems. Take note of several herbs, spices and other vegetation that have potent substances to significantly improve the condition of the diabetic person. Because of the clinical and scientific facts, experts can boldly recommend some natural remedies. But before you rush to any health shop in your place, you need to consider a few important things first. There are questions that were raised concerning the supplement which also make sense. Questions like: What type of diabetes patient can take this food supplement? What are the substances found in the supplement that prove its effectiveness? What are the forms of dietary supplements for diabetic patients? Now, we know that there are three major types of diabetes: Type 1 diabetes- a type that happens to kids, Type 2 diabetes- common diabetes that middle-aged or adult people have, and the Gestational diabetes- a temporary type of diabetes that happens to pregnant women. However, people diagnosed with pre-diabetes are considered in the seemingly called red alert condition because they have a higher level of glucose which any time can be developed to Type 2. For these three major types of diabetes, it is suggested that you consult first your doctor before taking any diabetes supplement. Tell your doctor about the stuff that you are planning to take as your food supplement. People with pre-diabetes can take the full advantage of food supplement because it can help them have their blood sugar level at bay. So what are the common ingredients found in diabetes food supplements? Some supplements are combinations of many different ingredients. Some are simply made from one product, which means it contains only one ingredient. Example of that is the bitter melon or bitter gourd. This dietary supplement contains the super-finely grinded dried bitter melon's leaves which are placed in capsules. Bitter melon is an excellent hypoglycaemic agent. It is very powerful in decreasing the level of glucose. It contains Charantin that act as an active substance in treating diabetes symptoms. Other individual ingredients in a supplement are the Gingko biloba, Ginseng, Gymnema, and others. Some dietary supplements are made up of two or more components. The usual tandem is the garlic and onion. These two ordinary spices are effective in preventing diabetic symptoms. The Allicin, an essential nutrient found in these spices, is also helpful in controlling the blood sugar in your system. Some supplements for diabetics are combination of either of these herbs and other products like cinnamon, mushroom, fenugreek, broccoli, kidney beans, dried basil, cayenne, dandelion and other organic elements. There are so many kinds of food supplements that people with diabetes can ingest. They may come in capsules, gels, liquids and pills. They only have to make sure that the supplements that they will buy contain genuine organic ingredients. Make sure it has no toxic substances in the components. As a general rule, always check the label and look for the FDA approved symbol in any diabetic supplements.
