1) Protein: If you really want to lose weight, protein should be the most important part of every meal. Lean proteins like chicken breast, pork, lean beef, fish, tofu, and egg whites will not only provide you with essential nutrients your body needs, but it is difficult for your body to process and digest.
That means that by filling up with protein, your body actually has to work really hard to process it. In terms of weight loss, your body will be forced to expend calories in order to simply go through the normal process of digestion. You actually lose weight by eating!
2) Vegetables: Because they're a great source of fiber, vegetables can be eaten in great quantities and do little more than provide you with a healthy source of bulk that won't amount to many calories. Make sure you avoid vegetables that are higher in sugar such as corn and carrots.
If you load up on vegetables, your stomach will feel full, but since your body cannot process much of the plant product, you won't deposit many of the calories into fat. With an overall lowered calorie count, watch the pounds drop without even ever feeling hungry!
3) Legumes: Healthy legumes like lentils, black beans and pinto beans are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and protein but are low in fat and calories. Use these to replace the deadly simple carbs that keep anyone from losing weight.
